Osram Sylvania Lights the Way With Acopian’s Mini Encapsulated Power Supplies

For more than 100 years, Osram Sylvania has been lighting the way with innovative lighting products and services for virtually every industry. Acopian is happy to shine light on Osram Sylvania’s products and services by supplying them with our AC-DC Mini Encapsulated Linear Power Supplies.

These modules have series regulated outputs ranging from 1V to 75V and as high as 2.5A. Their footprint is only 3.5 x 2.5 inches, making them ideal for smaller applications. Output power range is 0.5W to 14W. These modules have a thermal barrier running through the power supply, isolating the hot running components from the more sensitive components.

Universal input range is 105-125 VAC, 47 to 420 Hz, single phase. Output ripple/noise is1mV. All models may be used in series and are short circuit (continuous) protected.

Duke Energy Acopian has the 1U Need

Most notably, these power supplies are available in 135 different voltage ratings from 1 Vdc to 135 Vdc and feature current ratings up to 40 A. This new family of power supplies is engineered specifically to satisfy the requirements of OEM, industrial and laboratory applications, from automated test equipment, product development and industrial controls to water purification and electro plating. They are also ideal for ATE, OEM and laboratory applications such as component testing, semiconductor burn-in, test and measurement, RF Amplifiers, LED/laser testing and a variety of electromagnetic and electromechanical applications.

All models within this latest family of power supplies are PFC, universal input, built-in over voltage protection (OVP) and constant current control. Standard features include short circuit and overload protection, "soft start" and "no load" operation, internal EMI filtering, thermal protection, remote sensing and RFI shielding. Options for the 450W 1 U single-output supplies include fixed auxiliary output of between 3.3Vds and 125Vdc up to 180W, digital LED voltage and current meters, voltage and current monitor outputs, provisions for N+1 redundancy, and digital interfaces.

Acopian Adds New Array of Options to Low-Profile Family of AC-DC and DC-DC Power Supplies

Acopian has added new options to enhance the Low Profile Family of AC-DC and DC-DC Power Supplies. At just 1.7 inches tall, the UL recognized, CE certified low profile models are ideal drop-in replacement for existing supplies for applications in which weight, efficiency, size or wide input range tolerance is a factor. They’re commonly used for LED signage and lighting, industrial controls, power and energy, aerospace, nuclear and electrolysis applications.

Now both the 720W single-output and 750W wide-adjust output models are available with the option of a thermostatically controlled fan, which runs at a reduced speed until maximum speed is required. They also come with options for an output blocking protection diode for batter charging or redundant applications, three-phase 208VAC or 170-240VAC (60-400 Hz) input voltage, 15VDC/100mA auxiliary voltage and provisions for N+1 redundancy and paralleling for higher current.

Acopian’s newly expanded Online Custom Power Supply System Builder allows engineers to design their own custom system to fit an array of outputs, power levels and voltages.
