What is a linear power supply and what are typical applications they are used in?
A linear regulated power supply regulates the output voltage by dropping excess voltage and have very little ripple and very little output noise.
Typical applications of linear regulated power supplies include low noise amplifiers , signal processing and data acquisition, and there are many more.
